Job Description
Do you have systems and IT experience? This highly regarded travel company based in Central London is looking for an experienced Reservations Consultant to join their successful reservations team. The company is the tour operating arm of an award winning airline, and they offer the worlds most idyllic holiday destinations, including a hand picked range of tours, world class hotels and resorts
Role of Product and Systems:
•To assist in the supervision and co-ordination of the Product & Systems team to include the daily administration and maintenance of the system
•To support the development, testing and implementation of the new web booking engine with specific emphasis on the integration with existing reservation systems.
•To take responsibility for all IT issues (hardware/software), IT systems development, testing of upgrades/change requests and to provide regular updates to leadership team on any issues.
•To provide training and guidance to all new/existing users in all systems.
•To plan, co-ordinate and carry out annual base data loading (hotel rates, allocations, airfare etc.) and implement comprehensive audit plans according to specified deadlines.
•To resolve reservation, operational and financial errors/discrepancies requiring manual intervention, investigation, correction and elimination within various systems.
•To establish effective relationships with internal and external parties to ensure efficient resolution of queries.
Necessary reservations experience:
•Experience of working within the travel industry, preferable within a tour operations environment
•Experience of working within a product and systems environment
•]Preferably degree educated
•The ability to solve problems and work to deadlines
