In 2008 and in partnership with the ITT (Institute of Travel and Tourism) AA Appointments decided to take immediate action and address something that has been talked about for a long time but without any definitive solution.

Travel and Tourism graduates - how we attract the students to study this industry and then keep them in the industry and profession.

We can’t change how colleges and universities recruit and so to try and get Graduates of Travel and Tourism in front of employers when they had completed their studies we launched AA Graduate Appointments.

AA graduate intends to help place the new Travel and Tourism Graduates into a position within the industry by liaising with the Universities, meeting the students, keeping them informed and encouraging them to do some extra “off the curriculum” work that has a practical edge in order for them to look even more attractive to their prospective employer. We also propose to deliver to the lecturers to ensure that we all have a common goal and that it can in fact be realised by us working together to encourage and develop the students so that when they graduate they have an additional edge on the industry.

We then introduce the graduate to the industry completely free of charge!

This means that the businesses get the fresh new talent, the managers of tomorrow delivered to the door by a tried, tested and trusted specialist recruiter to the industry and Graduates have a conduit to help them do that successfully instead of posting their CV everywhere and getting nowhere.
