Overview
An intense and practical course designed to equip managers with the essential management and leadership skills and confidence to succeed. Participants will review their own leadership style, how to plan and set goals, lead, manage and motivate to improve overall performance.

• Understand your role as both a manager and a leader.
• Identify your own Leadership style.
• Establish clear objectives and standards of performance for your team.
• Motivate, manage and lead your team to meet objectives and deliver results. 
• Deal effectively with difficult behaviour.
• Use your communication skills with more impact.

Understanding your role

Define your role and identify your leadership style.
Recognise the difference between managing and leading.

Effectiveness of a leader 
Plan and prioritise for you and the team.
Set goals for development. 
The ability to delegate.

Involving the general principles motivation
Establish clear objectives and expectations of performance.
Recognise and appreciate the diversity of the team. 
Give and receive feedback.
Motivate to achieve maximum performance.

Successful communication
Overcome the barriers to effective communication.
Build relationships through positive communication.
Being assertive when influencing and persuading colleagues.

Duration: 3 day  (3 days do not have to be taken consecutively)
