Overview
This practical course provides a comprehensive foundation for new trainers in the design, development and delivery of a structured training session. The course is highly interactive with time for practice and feedback in order to encourage and promote confidence with the participants.

• How to prepare and plan a training sessions.
• Confidently deliver effective training sessions.
• Enhance presentation and communication skills.
• Assess learning styles and keep the attention of your delegates.
• Overcome difficult situations or problems that can occur during training sessions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of your training against objectives.

The qualities of a successful trainer.

The learning styles and the process of learning
How people learn.
Learning styles - maximising individual development through the learning process.
Adapt your training style to meet the trainees.

Preparing the training session
Establish and write objectives - ensure the success of your training sessions.
Decide on course content.
Develop course structure.
Use visual aids for maximum effect – select the appropriate visual aids.
Work with whiteboards, transparencies and flipcharts.
Use computer-based presentation packages.

Presentation and communication
Deliver with confidence.
The use of positive language and body language.
Know your material.
Trainer-led facilitation and group discussion.
Handle questions and negativity and difficult trainees.

Evaluating training
Effectively measure learning outcomes.
Delivering a training evaluation to delegates.

Duration:  3 day  (3 days do not have to be taken consecutively)
Suggested maximum number of participants: 10

Who should attend?
Either coaches who have been involved in developing and helping others, or individuals new to the role. The structure is intense, and covers the full training cycle therefore is suitable for in house trainers who may want to refresh in their skills
