Overview This course concentrates on the skills and techniques needed to build a team that achieve results with measured performance indicators. This is a practical course using a variety of tried and tested procedures used when managing performance.

Content Identifying key strengths within the team Different role preferences and identifying your preference. Create a balance of roles to strengthen the team.
Motivating the team Linking delegation and motivation. Target the right individual with the right task - setting goals. Team targets. Provide recognition and feedback. Deal with difficult situations.
Communicating with your team Face-to-face communication - a positive approach to meetings and briefings. Open communication - ensuring all team members understand what is expected of them. Develop an effective two-way communication process.
The performance monitor What type of monitor would suit your needs. Creating the monitor. Set the criteria with realistic expectations. Communicate the monitor to the team as a motivation tool.
Managing and empowering a high performance team Agree objectives. Empower team members. Give and receive regular feedback.
